I too got cd in mail and was not able to read anything until I put in CC#. I was not aware of monthly fee as it was hidden and did not notice it for 4 months. I thought i was paying a one time fee to open account. Customer service took 12 minutes to answer, then sent me to another person which took another rep after 9 minutes on hold who finally canceled my account but could not refund any money. They sent me to another rep and 10 min on hold. All 3 tried to convince me I needed the service. The third rep finally agreed to a partial refund which I was happy to have gotten at least something.

I had a similar experience. I was 'talked out of' cancelling my service for months. I finally got through to them that I was serious and would not be put off again.

They wanted to charge me a $13 cancellation fee which I refused to pay. They eventually agreed to not charge me to cancel it. I mentioned I was going to write a review about them. That probably helped.

Do NOT create an account with this company. You WILL regret it.

We are sorry that you encountered this issue. To avoid the Stamps.com monthly service fee you must close your account at any point during the 4 week trial period. To clarify, Stamps.com does NOT offer a "free trial" -- if your account stays open past the first 4 weeks, it will be billed like any other open account.

We do apologize if there was any misunderstanding regarding our billing policy. Stamps.com does provide and disclose Terms and Conditions that we expect all potential customers to read, review, and agree to before they create their accounts. Accounts cannot be created without customers indicating that they have read the Terms and Conditions by clicking on the “I Agree” box.
