Stamps.com - stamps.com trial


I signed up and then I read some pretty bad reviews on what happened when people tried to cancel. I became more alarmed when I went to the website and found there was no direct way to cancel your account other than having to call. I even tried to sneak in and bother the live chat customer service who, automated, told me she couldn't help me with that info and quickly disconnected me.

So I called the 888 number and was quickly connected to a customer service rep.

She tried VERY HARD to convince me to stay on the trial, even extending my trial period up to two months, but I stayed firm and told her I really appreciated her help but I changed my mind and that was that. She gave me a reference number, which is good because if something goes awry you can prove that you did try to cancel it.

I will add any updates if I end up with any complications.

As an online system you should be able to cancel your account directly from the website, but they are trying very hard to "lock in" customers, which is why they don't make that available. I think it's counter-productive and turns away customers.
