Charged for NOTHING, horrible customer service


I somehow stumbled onto the site looking to order free flat rate boxes and print out a single shipping label. Without reading enough fine print, I suppose, I signed up, thinking it was needed to print a label. Four weeks go by without me ever logging back in or doing a single thing with my account and I found I've been charged for a "pro" account. Days over my 4-week trial, the customer service reps were totally unhelpful and wouldn't refund the charge, even though I explained how it as a good faith, honest mistake, and clearly had never used the service. HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE!

Stamps.com is a licensed vendor of the USPS and is a software program that allows customers to print and create valid USPS postage. The monthly subscription service fee that Stamps.com charges is for access of the Stamps.com software, which allows customers to print postage from the comfort of their home or small office using just a PC and a printer. Our service is a monthly subscription service so it’s not based on usage of the software, but rather on having access to using it.

We ensure that our customers see our Terms and Conditions before they create their accounts. During the process of registration, we present fee and Trial Period information. Our billing structure is also explained before we ask for a credit card. Stamps.com follows up immediately with a Welcome E-mail that reiterates this process. We also ask customers interested in our service to read the Service Agreement and the information contained in their Welcome E-mail. We do apologize if there was a misunderstanding with regard to our policies, but we would be happy to provide you with any further clarification. So we can better assist you, please contact us at social@stamps.com. We will do our best to meet your needs and respond to your inquiry within 24 business hours.
