BEWARE THIS COMPANY!


In July 2010, I bought postage from Stamps.com . I thought it was a one-time purchase. Unbeknownst to me, and without my authorization, they continued to charge me $15.99 per month for 15 months! My husband manages our bank accounts and did not realize that I had not knowingly authorized the billing. He only discovered otherwise when we moved out of state and were reviewing the accounts for closure. When I contacted the company, they REFUSED to cancel my account for over 15 minutes and, when they finally agreed to cancel the account, threatened me with a $15.99 service fee for doing so. I had to threaten them with legal action to finally get them to agree to cancel the account and waive any future fees. BEWARE!! When you purchase postage from them online, there is no warning or notification that you are agreeing to an ongoing monthly fee. I reported them to my state's Attorney General office.
