stamps.com Complaint

A bad idea

I would suggest never using Stamps.com . Stamps.com is a service that charges a monthly fee for using it, plus you are paying for the cost of your shipping fees (boxes, stamps, etc). The online interface is difficult to use, and there is no real reason to use the company, all you really need is a shipping scale and printer, which you can buy online. When I cancelled my account, they did NOT tell me I needed to manually cancel my monthly delivery of stamps AFTER I had already cancelled my account. I wrote to them asking them to cancel it (it had been a month since I had used the service, and I didn't remember my password.) and they wrote me back saying they had sent my request up to the expedited service desk and they would take care of my request. What that actually meant was that a month would go by and they wouldn't get back to me. In that time, of course, they sent me another order of stamps. If I had known that they wouldn't cancel it for me, I would have gone through the process to re-set my password, I just assumed that they were. However, I have now been charged twice for something I didn't want, furthermore, there was no explanation of how to go through the process in the first place (they didn't explain I had to manually cancel my orders, even though my account itself had been cancelled). When I reached out to them about it, they said..yeah, sorry, this happens to a lot of people. I then went to go reset the password, and it asked me to pick a new password (before letting me into the account), that I hadn't used before. I tried all kinds of things, all within their character limit etc. they all were rejected saying "you have previously used this password". This isn't true as I made up some crazy stuff like "StampsSuck2016" something I would never use. Now I am going to try contacting customer service AGAIN, but I am dubious. It seems that I will keep getting charged until infinity by this ridiculous company.

I am going to post this review everywhere I can.

The company honestly doesn't provide a service that most people would use, but markets itself as something that makes things more convenient for any kind of person. It then has very confusing customer service. There are bad reviews all over the web, tons of people sign up and then cancel. Believe me it is not worth it, at all.
